In my free time I sometimes personally engage with design and construction of flight simulators. I try to build them as close as possible to reality. 

The following image is my „FSX BOX“ – a Flightsimulator in a box. Typical aircraft that you can fly with it are the famous single-engine Cessna Skyhawk or the multi engine Beechcraft Baron.

Main components of the FSX BOX

The main components are:

  1. Yoke to control ailerons and rudder
  2. Engine controls with throttle, prop and mixture lever
  3. Stereo speakers for sound like wind, engine and flaps motor as well as air traffic control
  4. Instrument panel for the selected aircraft to fly
  5. Computer with operating system and flightsimulation software
